Come by yourself or with a group of friends. La Serena Baking Holidays run for 5 (or 8 days), from €660[£550] (or €990 [£825]) per person, with all accommodation, meals and excursions included.

Richard & Ruth share their secrets of over 40 years for making cakes, pastries & breads of all kinds.
As a master baker, Richard ran his own business along with his wife Ruth, after his father and grandfather before him. Having got bored with retirement Richard and Ruth now work as Chefs at a UK training college.
Above all else, Richard & Ruth remove the mystique of baking in a fun way.

|Day 1||Arrive at La Serena and enjoy a welcome drink with your tutors & hosts. After an introduction to your holiday activities, relax with your group ready for a traditional Italian 3-course dinner prepared by Chef Derek at La Serena, discussing your baking experiences with Richard & Ruth.|
|Day 2||The Bread Day - Enjoy a sumptuous buffet breakfast, followed by preparation of Ciabatta (part 1), Torta di Formaggio, Focaccia. Snack lunch of your own Focaccia, wine & dessert. Afternoon tea at luxury cafe & supper at a lake-side restaurant.|
|Day 3||The Dough Day - After breakfast, we finish the Ciabatta and make Pizza dough, Torta al Testo & Piadini. Lunch will be your own Pizzas with a choice of toppings. Leisure time, then late afternoon tour of historic Perugia and dinner at a traditional Umbrian restaurant.|
|Day 4||The Cake Day - After breakfast, we make a selection of rustic and celebration cakes: Mimosa, Gateau Saint Honore, Umbrian Apple Cake. Afternoon trip to local flour mill & leisure time followed by a gourmet dinner at La Serena, tasting your own desserts.|
|Day 5||After a leisurely breakfast, say reluctant goodbyes and head for home. If you are continuing your holiday in Italy, Steph & Derek will help you with ideas, transport and other information.|
